Woman blames torched car on ex

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Police responded to reports of a car being set on fire just before 4 p.m. on Friday. The car was in the 3500 block of Euclid Avenue when it went up in flames.

The owner of the car did not want to appear on camera or give her name, but she said she had just left an abusive relationship. She said her ex-boyfriend had told her that he “would have the last laugh.”

The car was destroyed by the fire but luckily no one was injured.

An officer on scene left after interviewing the victim and did not speak with NewsChannel 15.
