Orland police bust 3 for meth

ORLAND, Ind. (WANE) – Three people are facing meth charges in Steuben County after police officers discovered items associated with methamphetamine in store’s parking lot Thursday morning.

The Orland Police Department responded to a report of suspicious activity at Dollar General, 9255 West State Road 120, around 8 a.m.

According to a department release, officers obtained search warrants for two vehicles in the lot and found several methamphetamine items in one vehicle. Police found marijuana, two or more precursors to manufacture meth, meth, and several items of drug paraphernalia.

Police arrested Zebekiah Wheeler, Orland, and Tammy Kimmel, Hudson.

Wheeler faces charges of maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, illegal possession of a ledged drug, possession of marijuana, and possession of precursors with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine.

Wheeler is being held without bond.

Kimmel was charged with maintaining a common nuisance, possession of paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.

Kimmel posted a $4,500 bond Thursday.

Charges are pending against a third suspect whose name has not been released.
