Former Cubs Star Buckner Visits Parkview As Part Of Tour

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Former major leaguer Bill Buckner threw out the first pitch Parkview Field on Monday night as the TinCaps wrapped up a four-game series with in-state rival South Bend.
Buckner was in the Summit City as part of the Principal Financial Dreams Tour.
Buckner played 20 seasons in the majors, racking up 2,715 career hits. He was selected to the 1981 All-Star Game and won the National League batting title that same season.
Buckner played for the Dodgers, Cubs, Red Sox, Angels, and Royals.
