People take portraits with their pets

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Cats, dogs and ferrets gathered at Lakeside Park for their close up.

Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control hosted the annual Picture Your Pet starting Sunday inside Pavilion 2.

For $15 people can receive a 5X7 professional portrait of their pet or pets and family together. Additional prints are $3.

The organization said the money raised by the event goes to supporting community animal safety education programs to prevent dog bites and keep children safe.

Animal Care and Control asks that animals arrive on a leash or in a carrier.

The event goes from 3 p.m. -8 p.m. Sunday and Monday.
