Marion, Ind. (WANE) Police are investigating a homicide that happened in Marion on Saturday morning on 816 South McClure Street.
Marion Dispatch received a call where the caller hung the phone up after making the call.
When an officer went to the scene they were unable to get anyone to answer the door.
A few minutes later, police received a second call. The caller indicated his brother, Christopher Rennaker, had dropped off a child at his location and told him a female had been shot at the South McClure address.
Officers returned to the South McClure Street and forced entry to the home. Inside, they found the woman in the bedroom. According to the police report, the woman appeared to have been shot one time in the head.
Police also said there was a 6-year-old girl in the house who was sleeping and unharmed.
Rennaker turned himself in at the Marion Police Department where he was arrested for murder and put in the Grant County Jail.
