Police looking for four suspects after home invasion

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Fort Wayne police are looking for four males suspected of breaking into a home early Thursday morning.

Shortly after midnight, police officers were dispatched to 522 East Maple Grove Avenue on a reported home invasion.

Police said four males dressed in hoodies entered the home, pointed a gun at a woman inside, and demanded to know where her son was at.

The son was not home.

The men then asked where his bedroom was located and told the woman they were looking for his gun.

Investigators said it appeared nothing was taken from the home, but the son’s bedroom was ransacked.

A detective was attempting to make contact with the son early Thursday morning.

The woman was not injured during the incident.

A police K-9 officer tracked towards Pettit Avenue, but the track eventually ended about a block south of the home. Police said the suspects might have got into a car and left the area.

No suspect descriptions were available.
