Driver flown to hospital after crash with INDOT truck

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. (WANE)  A person is in the hospital after a car and a dump truck collided on Thursday.

According to Indiana State Police spokesperson Ron Galaviz, the INDOT dump truck was going south on the 1100 block of State Road 109, north of Columbia City around 8 a.m.

The truck driver turned onto a private drive and did not see the car that was heading north.

The car hit the dump truck and the driver of the car was flown to a hospital.

The condition of the driver was not available as of Thursday morning.

The truck driver was not injured but he was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
