Search for missing South Bend woman to resume Wednesday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WANE)  Indiana Conservation Officers have suspended their search for a woman who went missing along the St. Joseph River in South Bend early Tuesday morning.

Police got a report around 1:30 a.m. that Yolanda Anderson, 25, had been walking along the St. Joseph River near the Colfax Street Bridge with friends and family members when she went into the water for an unknown reason. She is presumed missing.

Indiana Conservation Officers and the South Bend Fire Department conducted search operations Tuesday using side scan sonar. The search was suspended Tuesday evening and will resume Wednesday morning.
