SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WANE) – Notre Dame’s Ben Koyack and Nick Martin each landed on a watch list for their respective position on Tuesday.
Koyack was one of 38 players named to the John Mackey Award watch list. The Mackey Award is given to the nation’s best tight end at the end of the season. Bishop Dwenger graduate and former Notre Dame star Tyler Eifert won the Mackey Award in 2012.
Martin was named to the Rimington Trophy watch list, given annually to the country’s best center. Martin is the younger brother of 2014 first-round NFL draft pick Zach Martin. He suffered a knee injury last season against BYU but started the first 11 games for the Irish.
