Gaines Scores 10, Rojas 11 In 2nd Pacers Summer League Game

ORLANDO, Fla. (WANE) – IPFW’s all-time leading scorer Frank Gaines was in the starting lineup for the second time in as many games for the Indiana Pacers in the NBA’s Orlando Summer League and the former Mastodon delivered another strong performance.
After scoring nine points and garnering a team-high three steals in Indiana’s opener on Saturday, Gaines racked up 10 points Monday afternoon against the Celtics. Gaines was 3-of-8 from the field, with one three pointer. His +/- rating was +9 during the 18:18 he spent on the court.
Meanwhile, Mad Ants guard Sadiel Rojas provided some offensive punch off the bench for the Pacers. Rojas scored 11 points in 16:35 of play. He hit all three of his shot attempts from the field and was 5-of-9 from the charity stripe. More impressively, Rojas registered a +16 rating for his time on the court in the 96-77 Pacers win.
The Pacers will be back in action Wednesday at 3 p.m. when they faces Oklahoma City.
