MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) — A 43-year-old man was being held in a central Indiana jail Saturday after police say he stabbed three people, including his pregnant daughter, and tried to set fire to his house.

The Delaware County Jail website said Reginald Cortez Jackson Jr. of Muncie was being held on $85,000 bond. The Star Press reports (http://tspne.ws/1zfALv2 ) he faces preliminary charges of attempted murder, aggravated battery, battery on a pregnant woman, battery with a deadly weapon and arson.

One of the people Jackson is accused of stabbing is his 20-year-old daughter, who was nine months pregnant.

The three stabbing victims remained hospitalized late Friday afternoon, but were expected to recover.

Muncie police say a disagreement between Jackson and his 30-year-old stepdaughter turned violent Thursday night and he used a knife to stab her, his daughter and another man.

The pregnant woman was wounded in the lower back and authorities said her injuries aren’t believed to have harmed the fetus.

The man required emergency surgery, and Jackson’s stepdaughter suffered a collapsed lung.

Authorities say damage from the fire was not extensive.
