MERCER COUNTY AND PAULDING COUNTY, Ohio (WANE)- The problems police in Paulding County and Mercer County reported Friday have been solved.

Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey reported that phone lines throughout Mercer County were down and that 911 was also down for an unknown reason. Landline phones appeared to be working but cell phones were not.

At the sametime, the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office also reported 911 system difficulties.

Sheriff Jason Landers said his office was not receiving 911 or non-emergency calls from any Frontier customers and that the calls were also not rolling over to Paulding’s neighboring county as they should have in this situation.

Personnel from the phone company fix the problem in Paulding County just after midnight.
