Street closures in Fort Wayne for the 4th of July

City leaders confirmed One Summit Square was on the market earlier this month.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – After years of being held at IPFW, the annual fireworks display in Fort Wayne will be shot off downtown from One Summit Square.

This means there will be a few street closures in the city that evening.

The following streets will be closed from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Friday, July 4:

  • Calhoun Street from Jefferson Boulevard to Berry Street
  • Wayne Street from Harrison to Clinton streets

Closed from 10:15 to 10:45 p.m.:

  • Washington Boulevard from Clinton to Harrison streets

The City of Fort Wayne would like to thank Indiana Michigan Power for partnering with the City on use of the One Summit Square building. The City would also like to recognize Three Rivers Festival officials for allowing a Fourth of July fireworks display in downtown so close to the Three Rivers Festival fireworks show in mid-July. provides commenting on many stories to allow for constructive discussion.
