Kramer Leaves To Join Houston Rockets Summer League Team

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Since playing the 2010-11 season in Fort Wayne with the Mad Ants of the NBA D-League Chris Kramer has been a world traveler, playing professionally in Puerto Rico and Europe. Starting Saturday the Huntington North graduate is getting a chance to showcase his skills in the states as a member of the Houston Rockets summer league team that will compete in Orlando.
Kramer, who has played the last two season with EWE Baskets Oldenburg in Oldenburg, Germany flew out of Fort Wayne Tuesday afternoon.
Known for his stingy defense at Purdue, Kramer will be looking to showcase an improved offensive repertoire to the Rockets coaching staff. Kramer says he’s worked especially hard on developing his ball-handling skills, as he projects as a point guard on the NBA level.
The Rockets begin summer league play in Orlando at 3 p.m. on Saturday with a game against the Detroit Pistons.
