Fog likely factor in Noble Co. crash

LIGONIER, Ind. (WANE) – Three people were hospitalized Wednesday morning in a three vehicle crash in Noble County, according to the sheriff’s department.

Around 3:30 a.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to State Road 5 and County Road 900 North near Ligonier for a crash involving three vehicles

Investigators said a vehicle driven by Stephanie Lehman, Rome City, disregarded a stop sign on C.R. 900 and struck another vehicle traveling north on State Road 5 driven by Albert Segovia, Ligonier.

Segovia’s vehicle was struck a second time by another vehicle driving south on State Road 5. The third vehicle was driven by Ralph Covey, Jr., Topeka.

The sheriff’s department said Segovia and a passenger, Felipe Aranda, Ligonier, were transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center. The extent of their injuries was not released by police.

Covey Jr. was transported to Parkview Noble Hospital. His condition was not made available.

Investigators said weather conditions were a likely factor in the crash.
