Harnish Helps Alma Mater, Ready For Third NFL Season

OSSIAN, Ind. (WANE) – On April 28, 2012 Norwell grad Chandler Harnish was selected with the final pick in the NFL Draft by his beloved Indianapolis Colts while gathered with family and friends at his parents’ house outside of Ossian. Monday night he was back home in his alma mater’s gym for the opening night of his second annual Chandler Harnish/Norwell High School football camp powered by USA Football.
In one month he will enter his third – and, perhaps, most important – training camp with the Colts.
Harnish spent the last two seasons on Indianapolis’ practice squad. Players can spend a maximum of three seasons on a practice squad.
Harnish, who starred at Northern Illinois, is looking to push veteran Matt Hasselbeck for the no. 2 quarterback job behind rising NFL star Andrew Luck.
