FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)- The Fort Wayne Urban League is making a big push for new members.
It kicked off its yearly membership campaign Monday.
Leaders said they took in about $700,000 last year, but ended up helping others to the tune of more than $25 million.
Part of that total includes finding living wage jobs for more than 150 people, helping to keep more than 250 people out of foreclosure, and raising money for youth services.
The Fort Wayne Urban League has just over 1,000 members right now. This year’s goal is to raise that number to 10,000.
