ORANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE)  A body was pulled from Patoka Lake Saturday evening after Indiana Conservation Officers believe the Otwell man dove into the water from a pontoon boat and failed to resurface after striking his head on the boat.

Divers searched for the man, and the conservation officers used sonar and a Remote Operated Vehicle that had an underwater camera.

The camera located Anthony Catt, 43, about 200 feet from shore in the 20 feet deep water just before 9 p.m.

Indiana Conservation Officers said Catt was not wearing a life jacket at the time of the incident, and they believe alcohol was a contributing factor.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday where an official cause of death will be determined.

During the investigation, officers noticed a man speeding on the lake. When they stopped Michael Price, 52, officers said he was driving the boat while intoxicated.

Price was arrested and taken to the Orange County jail.

The Indiana Conservation Officers did not say these cases had any relation. provides commenting on many stories to allow for constructive discussion.
