Fire rips through vacant mobile home

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Fort Wayne firefighters battled a mobile home fire early Thursday morning.

Shortly after midnight, fire crews were dispatched to 247 Country Forest Park in the Countryside Village mobile home park.

The first arriving crews found heavy fire and smoke coming from the back of the mobile home. It took crews about 15 minutes to get the blaze under control.

Firefighters determined the home was vacant. Nearby residents said the mobile home had been empty for several weeks.

A fire department report said the home sustained heavy smoke, fire, and water damage.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
