Driver injured after car rear-ends bus

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A man was injured after the car he was driving ran into the back of a Citilink bus at the intersection of Decatur Road and South Anthony at around 3:10 pm Wednesday afternoon.

The driver of the car, a man in his 30s, was pinned and the ‘jaws of life’ had to be used to free him. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Photos and video from a NewsChannel 15 videographer on the scene indicate the car and bus sustained extensive damage.

Police believe speed was a factor due to the skid marks at the scene of the crash, which they believe belong to the car.

The two passengers on the bus and the bus driver were not injured in the crash.
