Dwenger Boys Golf Tied For Fourth At State

FRANKLIN, Ind. (WANE) – Bishop Dwenger is tied for fourth as a team heading into the second and final round of the state tournament at The Legends Golf Club in Franklin.
Dwenger sophomore Callahan Elzey leads the Saints at three over par, tying him for 17th overall. Dwenger’s John Hope is tied for 22nd at +4, while Patrick Allgeier and Spencer Gillig are both tied for 32nd at +5.
As a team, Dwenger is +17 for the tournament. Columbus North leads at +11, followed by Carmel (+14), and Hamilton Southeastern (+15).
Individually, three other local players are in the top 50. Heritage’s Nick Bienz and Canterbury’s Michael Brothers are both tied for 22nd at +4. Nick Myers of Homestead is tied for 32nd and +5.
The final round is tomorrow.
