FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The iconic sign sitting on top one of Fort Wayne’s tallest General Electric buildings could end up in Kentucky.

Company officials say a GE appliance plant in Louisville, Kentucky has expressed interest in potentially buying the large blue sign.  It’s been a part of the Fort Wayne skyline for 85 years, and the historic preservation group ARCH considers it one of the city’s most endangered landmarks.

So far, this interest is preliminary.  Company officials say they don’t even know yet how much it’ll cost to relocate the sign.
