Volunteers beautify local homes through national effort

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A group of volunteers spent their Saturday helping to beautify local homes as part of a national initiative.

Volunteers gathered at 709 West Packard Avenue Saturday morning as part of Pathfinder Community Connections’ 31st annual NeighborWorks Week.

During National NeighborWorks Week, tens of thousands of volunteers and leaders spend a week promoting neighborhood change and awareness. In that time, they rehab and repair homes, paint and landscape properties and host educational events.

Volunteers from our local community, Pathfinder Services, Wells Fargo and the Purdue Extension Office worked together on the landscaping and beautification of two properties in the 46807 neighborhood.
