Warsaw man accused of molesting 11-year-old in 2009

WARSAW, Ind. (WANE)  A Warsaw man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a child molestation case that dates back to 2009.

Police started the investigation after receiving a call Monday morning from the Indiana Department of Child Services. DCS had received a complaint from staff at Warsaw Community Schools concerning a 15-year-old girl.

Police believe that then 18-year-old Terren Raphael sexually molested a then 11-year-old girl during the summer of 2009.  According to the police report, the victim told police she was threatened by Raphael and told not to tell anyone about the sexual encounters.

Raphael was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on two counts of child molestation with a victim under the age of fourteen, a class B felony. He is being held on $10,000 bond.

Warsaw Police were assisted in their investigation by the Indiana Department of Child Services, Warsaw Community Schools, and the Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
