Boy’s golf results from Warsaw regional

WINONA LAKE, Ind. (WANE) – Northwood claimed a regional golf title Thursday afternoon. The team scored a 305, which wast three shots better than second place Bishop Dwenger.

The regional took place at the Stonehenge Golf Club.  The top three teams, plus the top five lowest individual scores whose team did not advance, will all advance to the state finals.

Homestead came in third with a 310, followed by Northridge’s 315, and Columbia City’s 316.

John Glenn’s Tyler Prentkowski beat out Canterbury’s Michael Brothers in a tiebreaker for the top individual performance.  Both players shot a 71.

Nick Benz of Heritage shot a 72, and will also advance to the state finals.

The 2014 IHSAA Boy’s Golf State Finals take place Tuesday and Wednesday at The Legends Golf Club in Franklin.  All teams and indivuals will play 36 holes.
