Riley remains only nationally ranked children’s hospital in Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health announced on Tuesday that it remains the only nationally ranked children’s hospital in Indiana.

U.S. News & World Report released its 2014–2015 Best Children’s Hospitals rankings on Tuesday, featuring Riley on the list. Riley at IU Health continues to be ranked among the top 50 pediatric facilities nationwide for a range of pediatric specialties, a release said.

The hospital’s urology program has been named second in the country. Riley also ranked in nine of the 10 pediatric specialties, including cardiology and heart surgery, diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology and GI surgery, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics, pulmonology and urology.

U.S. News & World Report first released the rankings of best children’s hospitals in 2007 to help families find the best medical care available.
