FRANKFORT, Ind. (AP) — Fire has destroyed a building at a central Indiana sawmill business.

Frankfort Fire Chief John Kirby says the fire at Coomer & Sons Sawmill was reported Monday night and crews needed about 45 minutes to get the blaze under control.

Several small explosions came from inside the building, possibly from propane tanks.

Resident William Kressley tells WLFI-TV (http://bit.ly/1l1ysFS ) he was at a nearby convenience store when he heard the explosions and that they rattled the ground.

Several homes in the city about 25 miles southeast of Lafayette were evacuated for a time. No injuries were reported.
