FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – With the traditional concert Sunday night, Germanfest 2014 is now underway.
“At one point in time, 80 percent of the people that were living here in Fort Wayne had some German ancestry. So, our purpose is to keep those customs and heritage that they brought with them to America and keep those alive for everyone,” Ken Scheibenberger, the Germanfest committee president, said.
Germanfest goes all week at Headwaters Park in downtown Fort Wayne with the keg tapping on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
