Fire rekindles at home on city’s northside

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A second fire has heavily damaged a home early Sunday morning, according to the Fort Wayne Fire Department.

Firefighters were called to the rekindled fire just after 3 a.m. in the 9600 block of Sea View Cove, near St. Joe Center Road. Crews were on scene for a few hours attacking the fire from all sides of the home.

The first fire happened around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, according to investigators. It took them nearly an hour to get that fire under control. The home was already severely damaged.

No one was home at the time of either fire.

There were no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
