Pastors hold prayer vigil for Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A group of Fort Wayne pastors is trying to bring attention to issues facing the city. They held a prayer vigil outside the Allen County Courthouse Saturday afternoon.

Issues on the agenda included collective bargaining, city violence, and education. The pastors said their main concern is community prayer.

“The only way we’re going to change our city is to change the minds of our people. God said prayer is the key to everything Some things are not going to happen over night. There’s still going to be some violence. There’s still going to be some crime. There’s going to be some stuff, but we believe that God through prayer will answer some of these prayers and we will start to see a change in process,” said Pastor Robert Bell with True Love Missionary Baptist Church.

The pastors are planning on hosting other events throughout the summer. provides commenting on many stories to allow for constructive discussion.
