Dwenger With Best Team Showing At Boys State Meet

FORT WAYNE, IN. (WANE) – On a day where no athletes from Northeast Indiana won an individual state title, Bishop Dwenger had the best team showing from the region at the boys track and field state meet.

Fresh off their first ever regional title, the Saints totaled seven points, good for 35th place on Saturday. Concordia and North Side both tallied six points, finishing in a tie for 40th.

Dwenger’s Jared Schipper finished in third place overall in the pole vault. Concordia’s Zach Panning took 4th in the 3200 meters.

Gary West Side was the overall team champion, edging out Carmel. For a complete list of results visit the IHSAA’s website.
