Doctor accused of trading drugs for sex

MISHAWAKA, Ind. (WANE) – A doctor in Mishawaka is accused of trading prescriptions with his patients for sex, according to WSBT.

Dr. Charles E. Myers, 65, and his 30-year-old daughter Autumn B. Myers have been charged with dealing controlled substances, the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office tells WSBT.

According to the probable cause document, Myers used an air mattress he kept in the closet to have sex with his patients.

A new release also lists Autumn Myers as also facing charges for selling prescriptions for cash.

Myers’ practice is at 303 S. Main Street in Mishawaka.

Charles Myers faces two Class B felonies charges. He was booked into the St. Joseph County Jail on $10,000 bond.

Autumn Myers is facing one Class B felony charge for dealing controlled substances. She was booked into the St. Joseph County Jail on a $5,000 bond. She has since posted bail and is no longer in the jail’s custody.

The state is asking for Dr. Myer to be suspended from practicing medicine as a condition of his bond.
