The Beach Boys to perform in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Another musical act has been booked for the Foellinger Theatre, this time it’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, The Beach Boys.

The band will perform in Fort Wayne for the first time in over 10 years on September 3, at 7:30 pm.

Lead singer, songwriter and band leader Mike Love will be joined on tour by longtime Beach Boy Bruce Johnston, who joined the band in 1964, and plays keyboards and vocals. Dennis Wilson drowned in Los Angeles in 1983, Carl Wilson died of cancer in 1998, and Brian Wilson tours only rarely.

Tickets for The Beach Boys go on sale Friday, June 13 at 8 am at all three Wooden Nickel Records stores, at the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation office, 705 East State Blvd, online and by phone 260-427-6000.
