Armed robber takes off with cash

Police on the scene of a possible robbery at a S. Anthony CVS.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  An armed robber took off with some cash after holding up the CVS at 5802 S. Anthony Boulevard just before 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

A customer who was in the store during the robbery told police that a man moved next to the cashier when the cash drawer opened and said he had a gun.

The customer said the suspect told him to “get out of the way” and then said something about “money.” The suspect then grabbed a hand full of cash and coins before running out the front door.

According to the police report, the suspect is a 6-foot-tall black man who was wearing tan and white striped shirt, blue jeans, and a dark bandanna over his face and head.

No one was injured.
