DALEVILLE, Ind. (AP) — A 4-year-old girl has died and six other people have been injured in a crash that shut down all lanes of Interstate 69 between Anderson and Muncie.

Indiana State Police say a car carrying five people abruptly stopped in the northbound right lane and a pickup with two people inside collided with it around noon Tuesday.

Delaware County Coroner Scott Hahn says 4-year-old Tavionna Ford of Indianapolis died in the crash near Daleville, about 40 miles northeast of Indianapolis.

Troopers say a second child and an adult were airlifted to hospitals in Indianapolis. The other injured persons were taken to a Muncie hospital.

The crash closed all lanes of the highway for about two hours and northbound lanes for an additional 90 minutes.
