FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – It took 11 years in the making, but Jarrett Grube has made it to the majors.

The DeKalb High School graduate pitched 0.2 innings of relief Saturday night for the Los Angeles Angels.

Grube, 32, also gave up his first major league home run.  In the eighth inning, Oakland’s Yoenis Cespedes hit a three-run home run off of Grube.

Grube was able to finish out the inning, but the Angels lost the game, 11-3.

Before Saturday, Grube had spent all of 2014 at the AAA level.  He pitched 61.1 innings with the Angels’ affiliate in Salt Lake City.
