Scavenger hunt raises awareness for hearing therapy

Sounds of the City

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Dozens of people spent Saturday afternoon wandering around downtown, but they weren’t lost. It was part of a scavenger hunt and family fun day.

It’s called “Sounds of the City.” HearCare Connection sponsors the event every May for speech and hearing awareness month.

“This event raises awareness for the needs of audiological care in Fort Wayne. Our organization is the only local non-profit that provides hearing services and reduced costs for hearing aids. So, we want to let people know that we’re here. We want them to know the importance of their hearing, and we want to make sure they know where to come and find resources,” said Anna Bogdon with HearCare Connection.

The HearCare Connection runs a clinic year-round.  Anyone looking to donate can send in old hearing aids that they can refurbish. provides commenting on many stories to allow for constructive discussion.
