Shred documents, credit cards for free Thursday

3Rivers Shred Day 2

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  With identity theft a huge problem, area residents will have an opportunity to have personal and financial documents along with unwanted or old credit cards shredded for free on Thursday.

3Rivers Federal Credit Union, along with the Indiana State Police, the Better Business Bureau of Northeast Indiana and Iron Mountain have partnered to provide a drive-up service in the rear parking lot of the 3Rivers Northland Campus located off Lima Road across from Crazy Pinz in northern Allen County.  A mobile shredder will be available from 10 am to 1 pm.

All items will be shredded immediately and eventually will be recycled.

In March, 20,000 pounds of documents were shredded during a similar event. provides commenting on many stories to allow for constructive discussion.
