FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Fort Wayne Police Department executed a search warrant at home Tuesday night.

According to a department release, the FWPD Emergency Services Team and Meth Suppression Unit served a warrant at home in the 10200 block of West Palo Verde Drive around 7 p.m.

Officers charged William L. Biggins with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of two or more precursors, dumping controlled substance waste, maintaining a common nuisance, and possession of paraphernalia.

Officials said the Saint Joseph Township Fire Rescue Department was called to assist due to the volatile nature of some of the substances and chemicals involved.

The Department of Child Services removed a 13-year-old from the home.

It’s unclear what the relationship is between Biggins and the child.

This is the 25th meth lab investigation of the year for the police department.
