Veteran writes book to help others cope with PTSD

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A Fort Wayne native and veteran wrote a book to help others dealing with PTSD.

According to the National Center for PTSD, 5.2 million people in the United State have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder every year.

Ralph “Malachais” Gaskin joined NewsChannel 15’s Gina Glaros on First News Saturday to share his book that focuses on how he’s dealt with PTSD.

Gaskin was in the military for 17 years.

His book, A Warrior’s Garden, is written on the basis of how he used his faith, music and organic gardening for his own self-therapy for PTSD.

A Warrior’s Garden is available on Amazon.
