FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Philharmonic will play its Independence Day performance at Parkview Field for the first time this year.

The “Patriotic Pops” concert will be a series of patriotic and family songs including marches from John Phillip Sousa.

The show is at 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 3. Admission is free, but the Philharmonic advises people to come early. After the performance, there will be fireworks over the baseball field.

The performance will be the end of the Phil’s 70th season that focused on American composers.
