FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A convicted killer in Marion got even more prison time to his sentence on Friday.
In April, James Griffith was convicted of killing an 81-year-old man in 2012. He was found guilty of murder and four other felonies including aggravated battery and robbery resulting in serious bodily injury.
A judge immediately sentenced Griffith to life without parole for the murder charge. On Friday, he was sentenced to an additional eight years behind bars for the remaining charges.
Investigators say Griffith and Lacy Bradley went to Duwayne Lindsey’s home back in 2012, and struck him in the head several times.
The two then took off with several firearms, collectable coins, and a large amount of cash.
Lindsey died from his injuries.
According to court documents, Bradley is scheduled for a change of plea hearing next month.
