INDIANAPOLIS (WISH/WANE) – An Indianapolis man who police say shot and killed another man in an Indianapolis  home invasion Monday was arrested in Fort Wayne on Thursday.

Mark Tyson, 31, has  been charged with murder and false informing. As of Friday afternoon, Tyson was being held at the Allen County Jail.

Tyson is accused of shooting and killing Patrick Martin, 24, of Indianapolis, at a home in the 4000 block of Boulevard Place on Monday night.

According to investigators there were eight children, 10 years of age and younger, in the home at the time. None of the children were hurt.

On Thursday, the Gang and Violent Crimes Unit in Fort Wayne was contact by Indianapolis police about Tyson possibly being in Fort Wayne. They were able to track down a car and saw that Tyson was the passenger. He was taken into custody without incident.

Police said the motive of the deadly shooting was a drug robbery.
