Sweetwater’s Surack named Humanitarian of the Year

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  The American Red Cross of Northeast Indiana named Sweetwater Sound president and founder Chuck Surack the agency’s Humanitarian of the Year.

Surack was recognized at a ceremony Wednesday. Surack is a board member for Greater Fort Wayne Inc., the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo, the Boy Scouts of America Advisory Board, Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum Board, Indiana University School of Music Dean’s Board, Lutheran Hospital, and Lutheran Health Network.

He has served on the boards for the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Northeast Indiana Public Radio, Unity Performing Arts Foundation, Easter Seals Arc of Northeast Indiana, Tower Bank, the National Association of Music Merchants, and many others.
