WARSAW, Ind. (WANE)  A nine-year-old boy is now in the custody of Child Protective Services in Kosciusko County after his father was caught by police trying to dispose of meth making materials in their North Webster apartment.

According to a news release issued by the Warsaw Police Department, undercover officers purchased meth from Steven Lynn Iden II and afterwards figured out that he was making the meth in his apartment.

Officers with Indiana State Police, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and the Warsaw Police Department showed up Tuesday morning at Iden’s apartment and when they went upstairs the strong odor of chemicals and a chemical haze in the air were present. When they went inside the apartment, they found Iden trying to throw away materials used to make meth.

Iden was arrested and faces a felony charge of dealing/delivering/manufacturing methamphetamine.
