FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Indiana State Police and the Allen County Sheriff’s Department found several items related to some 2013 burglaries in the St. Joseph River, north of Grabill Road.

Police, responding to tips, went to get the items on Friday. They found two purses and various items in ten feet of water that had been stolen from four women in the summer of 2013. Police say the purses had credit cards, identifications and other items taken in multiple burglaries in Allen County.

The items were turned over to the Allen County Sheriff’s Department as part of their on-going investigation.

The Sheriff’s Department said they do have suspects in the case. provides commenting on many stories to allow for constructive discussion.
