New Haven Canal Days opens June 3

Whether you enjoy midway rides, live music, festival food, classic cars, a parade or just down time with friends and family, the New Haven Canal Days will offer a locale for all of the above.  It opens with the midway and the National Guard on Tuesday, June 3 and builds the following evenings with live music, activities and entertainment, and a big finish Saturday evening with a free concert by a Grammy and Dove award nominated band.  Most events are held in Schnelker Park and on Broadway in New Haven, Indiana.

Parking is available in the main student parking lot at New Haven High School, located at 1300 Green Street. From there walk to the pedestrian tunnel under US 930 directly to Schnelker Park located at 956 Park Avenue.  Limited parking will also be available in the Park Hill Center parking lot located at 1000 Prospect Avenue, and the New Haven Middle School parking lot located south of Schnelker Park at 900 Prospect Avenue.

All events are free of charge to attend.  Midway rides are $1 per ticket, or unlimited daily by purchasing a wristband (rates vary), or available at discounted rates in multiples of 20 or 60 tickets.

Tuesday, June 3rd

  • Midway opens 5 to 11p.m.

  • Farm Market open from 4 to7p.m. in Schnelker Park
  • Midway open 5 to 11p.m.

  • 6 to 7p.m. Fort Wayne Taiko drummers (Gazebo stage)
  • 7 to 9p.m. New Haven’s Got Talent and Bulldog Beauty Pageant (Main stage)

Thursday, June 5th

  • 5 to 6p.m. Christina Dyson Dancers (Main stage)
  • Midway open 5 to 11p.m.
  • 7 to 9p.m. The Hit Men (Main stage)

Friday, June 6th

  • 11:30a.m. Senior Picnic at Schnelker Pavilion
  • Midway open 5 to 11p.m.
  • 5 to 9.p.m Classic Car Cruise-In at New Haven High School, 1300 Green Road
  • 7 to 10p.m. Chris Worth & Company (Main stage)
  • 10p.m. Family movie night under the stars

Saturday, June 7th Faith & Family’ Night
