Artists and dancers from across the country showed off their skills in several performances. Visitors also got to enjoy arts and crafts like anime and face painting. In true festival fashion, dozens of Japanese dishes were available for tasting.
The festival’s goal is to share Japanese traditions with the community.
“It allows the average Fort Wayne citizen to taste a little bit, experience a little bit of what Japanese culture has to offer in terms of food, culture, arts,” said festival chairman, Michelle Yamanaka.
Organizers said around 10,000 visitors came out for this year’s festival.
