FORT WAYNE, IN. (WANE) – The Komets have already suffered their first off-season casualty. ECHL scoring champ and two-time team MVP Brandon Marino has agreed to terms with Sapa Fehervar AV19 a top tier team in Hungary.
Terms of the deal are unknown at this time, but according to reports the window is open for Marino to rejoin the Komets in the future. Sapa Fehervar AV19 has won 13 Hungarian Championships, most recently in 2012.
Marino became the first Komet to win a league scoring title in more than 20 years this season.
