FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  A woman who was found dead as the result of a double shooting at a northwest Allen County home took her own life according to a ruling issued Wednesday by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

The bodies of Linette Pass, 49, and David T. Wehrle, 39, were found inside their home in the 12000 block of Wandering Way in the Lakes of Carroll Creek subdivision on May 8, 2014.

A co-worker and family member discovered their bodies in a bedroom and called police after they had gone to the home at around 9 am to check on Wehrle because he hadn’t shown up for work for a couple of days.

The following day the coroner ruled that both had died of gunshot wounds and that Wehrle’s death was a homicide.

It wasn’t until May 14 that the coroner issued a ruling on the manner of death for Pass.  While it’s been ruled a suicide, the incident remains under investigation.
